History 

Engineering Management Concepts (EMC), Inc. was founded in 1984 to provide professional services to public and private concerns. The company was formed by three enterprising entrepreneurs with a common goal - to establish and operate a professional services business offering the highest quality, world-class services. Throughout EMC’s history, the founders have inspired and motivated our talented staff and created a highly successful and reputable business that strives to exceed customer expectations. 

EMC’s first customer was the U.S. Navy, for whom we provided information technology (IT) and engineering services. As a direct result of our superior performance, we were able to expand both the scope of our services and the variety of customers we support. Today, EMC supports major components of the U.S. military, including the Navy, Air Force, Army, and Missile Defense Agency. In addition to our corporate headquarters in Camarillo, California, we have satellite offices in Oklahoma City, OK; Arlington, VA; Huntsville, AL; and Fort Walton Beach, FL.

In 2003, EMC was acquired by Tetra Tech, Inc. as part of a planned entrance into the Federal support services market. Today, EMC is a proud member of the Tetra Tech family of companies and a key component of Tetra Tech’s Systems Support and Security (SSS) Group.
